This is the UK debut of the multi-award-winning Australian comedy show. The audience holds an actual video game controller, and every button press changes what happens on stage. Punch, kick, jump, grab, block — Karate Man has to do whatever you tell him to.

About the show
Our story begins in 198X. Karate Man has defeated the nefarious Ross Roundkick, and peace is restored to Karatetown. Many years pass... it is now 20XX. And our hero must face his greatest challenge yet: ordinary life.
You and the audience command Karate Man through an expansive branching adventure as he battles his inner demons, his outer enemies, and the looming threat of [ DIVORCE ].
The show won Best Interactive at the Adelaide Fringe 2025 and was a finalist at the Sydney Fringe in 2023 and 2024. This is its UK premiere.

Hen & Chickens Theatre is a 54-seat fringe theatre above one of Islington's oldest pubs, run by the Unrestricted View producing company. Located right next to Highbury & Islington station — easy to reach from anywhere in Zone 1.
